AI FDE that deploys custom AI agents into ERPs

Trope deploys custom AI agents into ERPs for mid-market companies. Every ERP is heavily customized, so useful agents need custom deployment too. Trope’s AI FDE learns each business and ERP, then builds and deploys agents, turning the last mile from services into software.

Trope - Modernize ERP implementations with AI
See original launch post

Hey everyone! We're Matthew and Victor - cofounders of Trope. We’re building the AI-native platform for ERP services.

TLDR

  • After buying an ERP, companies spend over $50B a year on consulting services to get the software implemented
  • 70% of ERP implementations fail to meet budget, timelines, or targets
  • Trope deploys agents to help ERP implementation teams deliver projects on time and on budget from one AI-native platform

❌ Problem

Companies buy an ERP expecting it to become the most powerful software in their stack. It runs finance, inventory, procurement, operations, reporting, and the workflows the business depends on.

Buying an ERP is easy. Implementing it is hard and requires labour heavy consultant work where:

  • Requirements get missed
  • Workflows get configured differently than agreed
  • Data issues get discovered too late
  • Testing reveals the system does not match how the business actually works
  • End-user adoption suffers

For implementation teams, the challenge is managing hundreds of stakeholders across concurrent projects, with thousands of documents, decisions, and system dependencies to track.

That is why so many ERP projects miss their budget, timeline, and targets, and why companies spend billions on implementation services.

✅ Solution

Trope is the AI-native platform that deploys agents to deliver successful implementations faster.

Using Trope is like having a project manager, consultant, and developer working 24/7, so you can spend more time on the design and decisions.

Trope connects to the systems where project work already lives. It compares what was promised with what is actually being built, then flags gaps across scope, configuration, data, testing, training, and documentation before they become expensive.

Trope takes action by turning meetings into action items, scanning ERP configurations programmatically, and keeping documents, configurations, and stakeholders in sync.

The Team

We grew up in Vancouver and met at the University of British Columbia. We built operations and AI software at Tesla, Amazon, Zipline, and Schneider Electric.

After speaking with ERP veterans who had built and sold practices, the pattern was clear: everyone knew the traditional services model was going to change, but no one knew how.

Trope is defining the AI-native model for ERP services.
