Marker: AI-native consultancy rebuilding businesses with AI agents
See original launch post

TL;DR: Marker partners with execs, learns how their organization actually works, finds the highest-impact problems, and solves them by shipping custom AI agents into production on the Marker platform in weeks. Each agent deepens our understanding of the business, so the next agent launches faster. We stay embedded until the business is rebuilt.

We’re Will Drevno, Richard Berwick, and David Pastewka, the founders of Marker. We’ve built together for 15 years. Our last company, Drapr (YC S20), was acquired by Gap Inc., and Richard went on to found Gap’s Office of AI.

Why we built Marker

Inside Gap, we saw firsthand how much leaders wanted to transform their businesses with AI and how hard it was to turn that ambition into production systems that actually changed how their organizations worked.

95% of AI initiatives still fail. Ours don’t.

The hard part is understanding how work happens across people, systems, and teams; choosing the opportunities that matter most; and getting solutions into production.

How Marker works

We embed with each company and lead the transformation end to end:

  • Understand the organization. We listen closely to leaders and frontline teams, learn their systems and ways of working, and map the processes that usually live in people’s heads.
  • Find the biggest opportunities. We identify and prioritize the problems where AI can have the greatest impact on cost, capacity, speed, or growth.
  • Build and ship. We create custom agents and automations around the company’s real workflows and systems. The agents we deploy run on the Marker Command Center and go live in production within weeks.
  • Compound. Every agent we deploy deepens our understanding of the company. That helps us launch the next one faster and makes Marker increasingly integral to how the organization operates.

Who we’re working with today

We’re rebuilding companies from mid-size through Fortune 500.

Why us

We’ve sat on every side of this: founders selling into enterprises, operators transforming one from the inside, and executives responsible for enterprise AI. Marker is the company we wish we could have hired at Gap.

Our ask

If you are (or you know) a leader looking for real AI transformation—not another pilot, deck, or self-serve tool—please send them our way.
