Engineering leaders struggle to understand performance, delivery, and the real impact of AI across their teams. Traditional engineering intelligence tools require endless dashboard setup, data interpretation, and manual correlation between GitHub, Jira, and other sources.
These legacy platforms were never built for the AI era - making it hard to measure AI adoption, productivity, and team impact in a way that feels natural or conversational. Even newer tools are bolting on “AI features” rather than rethinking the experience from the ground up.
We built Waydev AI, the first AI-native conversational platform for Engineering Intelligence, designed so leaders can stop analyzing dashboards and start asking questions.
Waydev AI transforms how engineering teams understand performance and delivery. Just connect your tools - GitHub, Jira, Cursor, and more—and start asking in plain English:
💬 Conversational Interface: Chat directly with your data instead of digging through dashboards.
🤖 AI-Native Insights: Instantly generate reports, visual charts, and performance breakdowns from natural-language questions.
🔌 Connect Your Stack: Integrate GitHub, Jira, Cursor, and more in seconds.
📈 Dynamic Reports: Save and share real-time insights that update automatically as your teams ship.
🔍 AI Adoption Metrics: Track how generative AI tools like Copilot or Cursor are influencing developer productivity.
🎯 Try Waydev AI today! Sign up at waydev.co/ai and start asking your data.

💼 We’re hiring engineers and AI researchers passionate about transforming the future of Software Engineering Intelligence.
I started my entrepreneurial journey early, building my first company in Romania at 21. Over the next decade I launched multiple products and learned how hard it is for engineering teams to explain the value they create. The idea for Waydev came from firsthand frustration while trying to understand developer output beyond gut feelings and subjective dashboards. There was no clear way to measure engineering performance using system data, so I decided to build it myself.
I applied to YC because I believed Waydev could become a category defining product and I wanted to sharpen our execution with the best early stage accelerator in the world. It wasn’t an easy path. I applied 13 times before being accepted, and each rejection forced me to refine the idea, tighten the pitch, and improve the product. When we finally joined YC, the experience was transformative. The batch pushed us to move faster, simplify our messaging, and talk to customers every day. Demo Day helped us raise capital and accelerate our trajectory. More importantly, YC gave us a mindset of relentless iteration that still defines how we operate.
YC has remained a core part of our company. I’m active in Bookface, talking to other founders about growth, engineering metrics, and the future of AI driven development. Many of our customers and partners come through YC referrals. We share learnings with other B2B and infra founders, and we rely on YC’s internal forums, templates, and tools for fundraising, hiring, and pricing decisions. YC helped us get started, but the community is what continues to compound our progress.
Waydev started as a simple tool to analyze Git activity. The product evolved quickly as customers pushed us toward deeper insights and enterprise scale. Key moments included securing our first Fortune 500 customers, launching integrations with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps, and building out enterprise features like SSO, RBAC, and advanced reporting.
A major inflection point came when we recognized that engineering intelligence needed an AI native interface. This led to the launch of Waydev AI, our conversational layer that lets leaders ask questions and get insights instantly without dashboards. Today, we support both large enterprises and fast growing teams, and we continue to integrate AI deeply into how engineering work is analyzed and measured.
Engineering is the most expensive function in modern companies, but historically it has been the hardest to measure. Leaders rely on anecdotal feedback, siloed dashboards, or lagging indicators that fail to capture the full picture of productivity, quality, and delivery. This lack of visibility leads to poor decisions, misalignment, reactive planning, and inefficient budgets.
We solve this by giving teams a unified intelligence layer that turns system data into clear, actionable insights. The problem is huge because every company depends on software, and engineering performance directly affects speed, cost, and competitiveness. I decided to work on this because I experienced the pain myself as a founder and saw thousands of teams navigating the same challenge.
Our long term vision is to build the intelligence engine behind every engineering organization. If we succeed, companies will understand their engineering health as clearly as they understand revenue or churn. Leaders will make better decisions, teams will work in a more predictable and balanced way, and engineering will become a transparent, measurable, and optimized function. In the future we imagine, every company will be able to ask one question, “What is happening in engineering and what should we do next?” and Waydev will deliver the answer instantly.
