TL;DR: Spectre Capital is a multi-strategy trading firm run by AI agents, not human analysts. We deploy real capital to capture every decision, reasoning trace, and ground-truth outcome, so our agents learn and compound from every mistake. Most AI trading labs pay egregious amounts for training data. Ours pays us when we win.

We left Harvard after starting a hedge fund from our college dorm (go Currier!).

Now we’re building Spectre Intelligence, a neotrading firm training superhuman AI traders. 

The problem

Intelligence is getting cheaper, and it will rewire trading. But the scarcest input to markets isn't compute or data feeds or latency, but rather judgment. That data is fragmented, scarce, and the foundation of entire careers. It is also entirely proprietary and guarded fiercely by firms.

What we do

We collect judgment by trading live. Every position our agents take generates decisions, full reasoning traces, and ground-truth P&L. We think this is the ultimate alignment of incentives in one of the largest TAMs in the world.

The structure is evolutionary from first principles: open competition inside each pod, and strategies and pods are born and killed constantly.

Unlike a traditional pod shop, spinning up a new pod costs compute, not headcount. Our agents work superhuman hours, monitor a superhuman number of things, and learn from every real and simulated trade. Our AI traders develop specialized strategies in parallel, allowing us to scale far beyond the limits of human bandwidth. This is an edge that scales, compounds, and isn't held by any one employee.

- Two live pods: semiconductors and biotech equities. (We picked the verticals, not our AI traders.)

Why now?

AI is the worst it will ever be, LLM traders aren't even good yet, but we believe the writing is on the wall and want to be on the frontier. Quant funds were arguably the first agent labs: ML theory embedded for decades, quants as very expensive agents. We're building the generation after.
