I’m Damian, founder of Skymerse (S26). I’m a licensed flight dispatcher and have spent 10 years working across flight operations, aviation data, and software.
We’re building one AI system to automate flight operations - from planning and monitoring in the operations center to real-time support in the cockpit.
Our goal is full automation of the work behind every flight.
The problem
Airlines have spent decades digitizing flight operations. The information moved from paper to screens. The work of understanding it did not. A flight exists across many systems. Each system may be good at its own job, but the complete operational picture exists between them.
Pilots and operations teams still have to build that picture themselves. They search, compare, and interpret information to plan, monitor, and adapt every flight from schedule to landing.
When something changes, they do it again. When responsibility moves from the operations center to the crew, much of the context has to be passed on or rebuilt.
Today, people are the integration layer.
What Skymerse does
Skymerse builds a live operational model of every flight. When an airline’s schedule flows in, it assembles the operational context for each flight and keeps it current as conditions change.
That model is the foundation for automation. Skymerse does not stop at displaying information or sending an alert. It understands what a change means for the flight, updates the operation, and carries the required work forward automatically.
Skymerse plans, monitors, and adapts flights from the operations center to the cockpit. Instead of rebuilding context across tools and handoffs, Skymerse manages each flight as one continuous process, from schedule to landing.
Why I started Skymerse
Skymerse started with Notamify.com. I built Notamify because I was amazed by how much information pilots and ops teams have to process before every flight - and how much of that work was still done by hand.
Notamify interprets every single NOTAM into operational impact. It reduces the briefing time from 2 hours to 2 minutes per flight. It now serves airline customers and thousands of pilots and aviation professionals.
As we built it, the larger problem became clear. Making one source easier interpreted is valuable, but people still have to connect it with the rest of the operation. They still have to work out what it means for their flight and what to do next.
Skymerse is that next step: from helping people understand one part of a flight to automating flight operations e2e.
