The Problem
Buying something at a company is rarely as simple as placing an order.
An employee submits a request. Procurement checks vendors, pricing, security, and lead times. Finance reviews the budget. Legal may review a contract. Someone creates a purchase order, follows up with the vendor, tracks delivery, and eventually matches the invoice against what was ordered and received.
Many companies still manage this through email and spreadsheets, or procurement systems that are expensive and cumbersome to operate.
The problem gets worse for companies building ambitious physical infrastructure. When data centers, factories, and robotics companies cannot get the right equipment on time, entire projects can be delayed.
We saw this firsthand at Crusoe, where we helped build GPU data centers. Existing procurement systems could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to implement, required large teams to operate, and still slowed the business down.
Our solution
Saldor is an AI-native procurement and accounts payable tool.
Employees can request goods or services, and Saldor routes each request through the appropriate approval, security, legal, and finance workflows.
Our AI agent communicates directly with vendors to collect documents, follow up on quotes and delivery dates, and keep records updated automatically.
Saldor can then generate purchase orders, track receipts, process invoices, and match bills against what was ordered and received.
Teams can also interact with Saldor through MCP and connect it to their ERP, accounting system, or other internal tools.
The Team
Jack and Jacob worked together as Crusoe building AI infrastructure before leaving to start Saldor. Jack (CTO) holds a B.S in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. Jacob (CEO) holds a B.S in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
