Affordable, intelligent humanoid robots built to deploy at scale

OS3 is building the platform that makes intelligent robots accessible to every business. Today, robotics is constrained by two fundamental bottlenecks: hardware is too expensive to deploy at scale, and robots are difficult to train because high-quality robotics data is scarce and costly to collect. We built OS3 to solve both. Our two-person team designed and a US-made mobile humanoid robot for a fraction of the cost of commercial alternatives. On the intelligence side, instead of relying on expensive robot-generated training data, we trained our own video-action model on 150,000 hours of real-world video spanning more than 2,000 tasks. Every deployed robot feeds new experience into our reinforcement learning pipeline, self improving robot fleet over time. This creates a robot that can be deployed across industries to automate repetitive, physical work without requiring a new robot or training pipeline for every task. Our robots are already deployed in hotels, with customers now expanding the platform into biotech, hospitals, and data centers, including a wet lab at Stanford. Our mission is to do for robotics what Apple did for personal computing: take technology that was once expensive, specialized, and inaccessible and make it powerful and usable at massive scale. We’re building toward a world with billions of intelligent robots, and OS3 is the platform that makes that possible.

OS3: Intelligence and Machines for Physical Labor
See original launch post

TL;DR: OS3 is building semi-humanoid robots for physical labor. Our first robot, H.A.L.E 1.0, is built for everyday human tasks, and our first model is based on 2,000+ distinct real-world tasks and 150,000 hours of video data. We are opening up pre-orders to all with shipments starting this Fall.

Physical AI Problem:

A lot of teams and businesses want to build and deploy in the robotics space. But they have to source parts or buy hardware from different vendors. Furthermore, the recent import ban makes it even harder for beginners and startups to use the latest hardware, unless they are willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars. Post hardware, constant data collection is needed to adapt open or closed-source models to the ever changing hardware choices. In other words, everyone keeps reinventing the same wheel of modern robotics development over and over again.

Our solution:

Video Link

We built OS3: Both the hardware from ground up and the model to control the hardware. Our first robot, H.A.L.E. 1.0 (Human Aligned Life Enhancing), is designed to handle a wide range of everyday physical tasks, and we are presenting the prototype unit today.

Our goal is towards pushing American robotics forward while ensuring the state of the art is available to all.

Hardware and Model:

It features a bimanual embodiment with an omni-directional base, full height control to pick up objects directly from the ground while being able to reach top shelves, and a battery that can last a whole work day. Additionally, our design is primarily focused on safety and user-friendliness; a person can start and stop a task at just the touch of a screen on the back of the robot or a mobile app.

The intelligence layer is a two system architecture, with a high level planner layer and a lower level execution layer. The model has been trained on 150,000 hours of video data spanning over 2,000 real world tasks. Technical report coming soon, once evaluation runs finish. Hardware specs and engineering deep dive posted on our website.

Preorders Live now

Shipments begin Fall 2026.

Our strong supply chain enables us to make our first low-cost robot starting at just under $10k for businesses to deploy (available in private beta now) and under $15k for developers to experiment with. We are already working with hospitality providers and biotech companies to deploy our robots.

Order Link: 99 dollars deposit fully refundable

We are also working on our own custom actuators right now, enabling even higher payload for our robots. Happy to discuss more if your business involves such use cases.
