AI that turns any camera to an autonomous worker with real-time vision

OpenVector transforms any existing camera into an automated 24/7 workforce without requiring new hardware. We've built the world's fastest vision-language model inference engine that allows users to simply describe a task in plain English and automatically build a custom AI vision model to monitor their feed. When it detects an important physical event—like a stalled production cycle, a safety violation, or a waiting customer—it operates a computer just like a human to take immediate action. It integrates with legacy systems, makes calls, sends emails, updates a POS/CRM, or triggers webhooks in real time. OpenVector enables any camera to do real work.

OpenVector - Self-improving AI that turns any camera into an autonomous worker.
See original launch post

TLDR; OpenVector turns existing cameras into an automated 24/7 workforce. Describe a task in plain English, and it auto-builds a custom vision model that takes real-time actions on a computer when it spots an event.

Ask; If you or someone you know runs physical operations (manufacturing, logistics, retail, security) and wants to automate visual tasks without buying new hardware, we’d love to connect!

Our Team:

OpenVector was founded by a team of builders and engineers obsessed with bringing self-improving visual intelligence to the physical world.

  • Andrey Gizdov, CEO, dropped a fully-funded PhD scholarship from Fulbright, worth $170,000, with invitations at Harvard and MIT, where he worked on real-time vision models.
  • Vishal Urlam, CTO, previously automated camera systems and network protocols for Tata, the second-largest network infrastructure in the world. CMU embedded systems engineer.

Problem:

Many important business moments happen in the physical world: Someone tailgates. A production cycle stalls. A worker skips a step in the manufacturing process. A customer arrives, and no one responds. There are over 1 billion cameras worldwide, but they only record it for later. For physical operations, the best technology available to catch these events in real-time has been a human staring at a monitor.

Solution:

OpenVector is an AI that brings action to any camera.

  • Plain English to AI Model: No coding or expensive setup. Simply describe your task in plain English, and OpenVector automatically builds the best AI vision model for it, and watches your camera feeds 24/7. It’s an app that takes 2 minutes to download and set up, and works with any camera.
  • Acts Like a Human: OpenVector operates a computer just like a human based on what it sees.
  • Legacy Integration: It automatically integrates with your existing systems to make a call, send an email, update your POS or CRM, or trigger a webhook the second an event happens.
  • Zero New Hardware: Works entirely with the cameras you already have installed (custom end-to-end solutions also available).

We’ve Already Started:

OpenVector is already live and seeing use cases across security, retail, manufacturing, and logistics. We are tracking production cycle efficiency directly from existing CCTV, ensuring good-manufacturing-practices, and catching physical design errors.

Now Onboarding:

OpenVector is ready to deploy on your camera feeds today. Contact us if you’re tired of cameras that only watch and want them to actually do work for you. founders@openvector.com
