Freight brokers and 3PLs run lean accounting teams that spend their days chasing money that's already earned. Every unpaid invoice means emailing a customer, checking a portal, following up again a week later, and manually deciding which accounts are actually at risk — work that scales linearly with headcount and doesn't get easier as a book of business grows. DSO creeps up not because customers refuse to pay, but because no one has time to chase every invoice consistently.
Lighthouz built Lucie, an AI collections agent purpose-built for freight finance. Lucie works customer accounts the way a best-in-class AR analyst would, just continuously and across every account at once:
Every action Lucie takes is visible to the AR team, with clear ownership indicators showing what's automated and what's waiting on a person — collections teams stay in control of the relationship, they just stop doing the busywork.
