The problem Most coding agents are heavy. Each instance eats gigabytes of RAM, and because memory is the bottleneck, you can only run a handful at once. That caps how much work you can hand off at a time. The real power of agents is dispatching lots of different tasks in parallel and having them all worked on at once, and that's exactly what today's tools make too expensive to do.

Our solution Jcode is engineered from the ground up to be lightweight, roughly 20x more memory-efficient than Claude Code. Since RAM is what caps how many agents you can run, cutting memory 20x lets you fire off 20x more tasks in parallel on the same hardware. It's fully open source, so you can run it yourself and inspect exactly what it does.
