Strength Tracking Wearable

Fort is a wearable that tracks strength training for people who care about longevity. Other wearables make you manually log every rep, set, and exercise, then provide unhelpful feedback or underestimate strength-related fatigue. We use heart rate and motion data to track your strength workouts for you, then provide thoughtful, actionable feedback that helps you achieve your goals.

Fort | Automated Strength Tracking for Longevity
See original launch post

Strength training is gaining traction in both the longevity community and academia, where growing evidence links muscle mass and strength to lower all-cause mortality — yet existing wearables are failing to deliver a seamless strength tracking experience. Fort is building a screenless wearable that detects strength training and fatigue while also tracking sleep, cardio, and overall health in an all-day worn device.

Co-founder Story: My name is Zac. I met Miranda at a squat rack in Fitness SF - a little over a year later we got engaged. I met Paul in university where we designed, built, and raced electric vehicles. Paul and I worked at Tesla for the next 4-5 yrs doing much of the same. I introduced Miranda to Paul in late 2024, knowing that he wanted to work on something new, and Fort was born. I worked on the nights/weekends with Miranda and Paul prototyping designs until Fort occupied most of my mind share, joining full time in December ‘25.

We have a tight knit team that has experience shipping hardware at scale and a strong belief that (1) improving human health is the greatest technological frontier in the age of AI and (2) consumer devices will have a meaningful impact in people’s wellness.

New Form Factor: The product we first introduced on BF (our beta prototype) has evolved to a sleeker, smarter, more mature design featuring three finishes: Gold, Black, and Silver using premium materials in a form factor that disappears into your life.

Whether you are wearing it in the gym or out to dinner, we want it to be something that you actually want to wear and blend seamlessly with other jewelry but be lightweight enough to wear in the gym.

New Website: We’ve revamped our website explaining the use case of Fort, the value proposition centered around strength tracking capabilities “This Wearable Actually Tracks Strength”. In addition to detailed strength data, the Fort App also features insights into cardio, stress, and sleep, showing how they are all interconnected: “Learn how your lifestyle affects your strength, and what metrics move the needle on your strength progress”.
