Hey everyone! We’re Alvin & Greg and we’re the founders of Goldbridge. Alvin’s first YC company, Shef (W19), is a homemade food marketplace that helped change state laws across the country so that people could legally cook and sell food from home. They raised over $100M, scaled Shef nationally, and built it into a Series B company that continues to feed hungry tummies across the country 😋
Now we’re building Goldbridge, the financial operating system for real estate – and we built it from the ground up based on our personal experience owning and operating residential properties.
THE PROBLEM
Over $1 trillion of rent flows through landlords’ bank accounts every year, and nearly 25% of it sits idle in reserves and deposits. In other words, real estate banking is fundamentally broken:

WHY WE BUILT GOLDBRIDGE
As the son of immigrants, Alvin grew up in a motel and helped his parents manage properties growing up. Now he owns 81 units in the Bay Area, and he’s personally experienced how painful it is to manage property finances once you hit mid-market scale (50+ units).
By modernizing his banking stack, renegotiating contracts, appealing his property tax bills, applying for government rebates, optimizing maintenance spend, and restructuring rent collections, Alvin took his 81-unit portfolio from –3% burn → +36% cashflow in less than 6 months.
We’ve now replicated this for other property owners, and the patterns are universal.
