The team

We’ve scaled consumer apps (games, AI study tools) to 2M users, and video marketing has been central to that growth. When we talked to businesses about their marketing, we kept hearing the same problem over and over: they had incredible footage from events and productions, but it took weeks to turn into content. Smaller teams simply didn’t have the time to edit this footage either. We dove deeper into post-production workflows and realized the entire industry was drowning in grunt work.

Previously, we’ve worked on computer vision research at Brown and software engineering research at UW, as well as AI infrastructure at Apple and marketing for Vectara.

Professional video editors spend 90% of their time on work that has nothing to do with creativity.

They're scrubbing through hours of raw footage, hunting for specific moments, organizing clips, and fighting archaic software — while the actual artistry gets squeezed into whatever time remains.

We're Erik, Aryan, and Victor; we built Narrative to fix this.

What Narrative does

Narrative automates the repetitive work:

• Add b-roll to the timeline intelligently for an interview, based on the transcript
• Search terabytes of footage using natural language and instantly find similar clips
• Pull selects and create stringouts for social media and long form edits
• Perform batch iterations through a conversational chat window

Professionals at corporate post-production teams, wedding videographers, and sports teams already use Narrative to cut hours from their workflow.
