Sunlight moves B2B payment volume onto card without asking a single supplier to onboard. Our AI agents determine where a bill can be paid by card without a surcharge, then execute that payment through the vendor's own billing or AR portal, returning a confirmed status, receipt, and structured remittance data through a single API. For decades, moving invoice spend onto card meant building a rail or signing suppliers up one at a time. Both are slow, and both leave most of the volume behind. Sunlight takes a different path. Because our agents pay through the portals suppliers already use, the network reaches every supplier without any of them having to join it. AP platforms and bank card programs issue their own cards, send them to us, and capture the interchange on volume that would otherwise have defaulted to ACH or check. We are the AI infrastructure layer that makes that volume reachable.

Card-on-file is the digital commerce growth engine:

82% of consumers use digital payments. Merchants, service providers and subscriptions-based businesses everywhere now offer their customers the ability to save a debit/credit card on file, so they can pay their bills on time, buy in one click, or earn rewards. And globally, 79% of consumers currently have saved a card on file or are open to doing so.

The Problem:

In recent years, card-issuing-as-a-service has made it easy for any company to start their own card business, leading to an all-time high in the number of cards issued in 2021. For users, however, switching banks or opening a new credit card account comes with an additional hurdle: they need to update their payment info across multiple services. And on the other side of the equation, financial institutions that are issuing those cards are struggling to get their users to switch their spend from their old card to the new one. FIs have a very low conversion rate because they have no visibility and no control over the card-on-file updating process.

The Solution:
