The coding agent that can access and reason across any machine.
Ara is building the future of coding.
Coding is changing from a craft practiced one prompt at a time into an operating system for building. Ara turns an incoming signal — a GitHub issue, a Linear or Jira ticket, a Slack thread, an alert, or just a prompt — into a verified, reviewed pull request, and then writes back what it learned so the next run starts smarter than the last.
Every task gets a live session on its own isolated machine. Ara reproduces the bug, writes the fix, verifies it with tests and before/after screen recordings, works the review thread until checks are green, and hands back a diff you can actually trust. Evidence, not a claim.
Humans should still set direction, make the judgment calls, and care about taste. The mechanical middle of coding — reproduce, edit, verify, review, remember — should be autonomous. That's what we're building.
We're a small team in San Francisco (YC P26) with high ownership, real verification, and no layers between you and users. Exceptional craft, curiosity, and follow-through matter more than a perfect résumé.
Open role: Founding Engineer — full-time, San Francisco, in person, $10k/mo. You'd own product, runtime, and production systems, and turn early ideas into dependable software with high autonomy. More at ara.so/careers.
