TLDR: HYBRD (F24) is launching personalized strength + 5k/10k/half-marathon/marathon plans to make you faster and stronger! The training plans are by world-class coach Alex Viada, the guy who literally wrote the book that started the hybrid athlete movement. We personalize his plans perfectly to you based on your data and preferences.

Asks
(pictured above is Alex Viada - if you’re not familiar, he wrote the first book on hybrid training and an inspiration to many, many coaches and athletes in this space. He bought an iPhone just to try HYBRD and we’ve since launched a partnership to provide his training plans on the platform)
Ok.. I want to be strong and fast, but what are you actually building?
We break down the silos between your cardio, strength and wearable data to give you a complete view of your performance.
Then we use that data to personalize training plans from world-class coaches to you. We’re ex-WHOOP, ex-US national rowing team, triathletes / ultramarathoners ourselves and are building the training platform that we wish had existed for us.
Why do I need a separate app for this?
Every workout you do is a puzzle piece in a broader picture of performance. But fitness tracking data is siloed across multiple domains. You might track your running data on a Garmin, your sleep/recovery on WHOOP and your strength training in a spreadsheet.
It kinda works if you’re just a runner or just a lifter.
But more and more people are becoming “hybrid” athletes who focus on strength and cardio, so they’re left stitching together multiple data sources to see the full picture.
Do it wrong and you risk “cardio killing your gains”
What are you guys doing about it?
First, HYBRD integrates with all leading wearables and data sources. We pull in as much historical data as we can. We pull in your workouts and deduplicate them.
Then, we make it really easy to track your weightlifting, CrossFit, HYROX - things that aren’t well suited for tracking on a wearable.
You can use text to input your workout to our AI logger - or, simply upload a picture of your training journal, a whiteboard from a HYROX gym, or a screenshot from an app you already use.
Based on that data, we provide a holistic view of your strength and cardio abilities, normalized for age/gender/weight and give you a single score (analogous to a chess Elo score) that you can use to track your progress.
Cycling, running, rowing, lifting data can all be interpreted and used to model your physiology.
That gives us all the information we need to know to personalize a training plan for you.
For example - lets say you want to be more like Alex Viada, the guy I mentioned above. You might not deadlift 700lb+ and be training 15+ hours a week (yet?), so we can scale down the fundamentals of his training plan to whatever is right for you:
These training plans have been developed by likely the most reputable coaching organization in hybrid athletics - Complete Human Performance (shout out to Alex as well as Trevor Tartaglia and Ariana Scalfo!)
And once you have that workout plan, we can push it directly to your Garmin (Coros + Apple Watch coming soon), so you can easily run through the workout on the go.
You’ll be motivated to keep making progress by pushing up your Training Score, which is the first metric to encapsulate both strength and cardio training load, developed by us and Anna Cruse, the Director of Applied Health and Performance Science at the University of Utah.
Where is this all going?
We’ve already had hundreds of thousands of workouts get processed when HYBRD was a tracking-only app, so we’re really pumped about taking things to the next level by adding in adaptive programming.
We’re going to keep adding more plan types (HYROX, triathlon coming soon) as well as more personalization levers (probably sleep + recovery etc.)
Right now we’re iOS only but stay tuned on the Android side.
Who are you to tell me how to get stronger + faster..?
Well, we’ve got a great team!

and we’re just getting started!
