API Platform for Banking Integrations (Plaid for India and APAC)
Almost every company that has to integrate with the legacy financial institutions, faces several challenges when it comes to the product cycle. Not only are the APIs and documentations less available, but they are also old school and ridden with errors and loopholes.
On top of that, the lack of a single point of contact from the underlying institutions, makes the already long integration cycle of 5 months feel like a temple run between different departments. And since those services break and update over time, you can imagine the nightmare in terms of coordination between the tech teams.
We are a full-stack platform where you can come, select your desired modules, play in the sandbox, and launch your product with the APIs and SDKs within a couple of weeks! Not only that, but we also take care of all upcoming fixes, iterations, and updates without breaking any flow.
It's that easy, as it should be. Welcome to the future.

Hey YC community, we’re Rohit and team from Decentro (YC S20), a full‑stack banking and payments API player from India.
Over the last few years, we’ve helped thousands of businesses plug into Indian banking, KYC, and payments infrastructure with simple APIs; now we’re extending that to global payments with our new GIFT‑based PSP and cross‑border collection stack.
The problem – global money in & out
If you’re a trade finance player, marketplace, or fintech scaling globally, you probably live in some version of this mess:
Multiple PSPs and bank partners across countries, each with different compliance, FX, and payout rules.
Long, opaque onboarding cycles for cross‑border flows.
Fragmented reporting across acquirers, currencies, and entities, making reconciliation and compliance audits painful.
A fast‑moving regulatory environment (IFSCA, FEMA, local regimes) where a misstep can mean blocked flows or penalties.
This slows down companies that should be focusing on building products and acquiring customers, not chasing bank RM emails and interpreting circulars.
What we’re building – a compliant global PSP rail via GIFT
We’ve become one of the first Indian payment aggregators to receive a final PSP license from IFSCA at GIFT City, and we’re wrapping that into a developer‑first global payments platform.
At a high level, here’s how it works:
Single API / dashboard to collect global payments: Accept from international customers via cards, local methods, and bank transfers across multiple currencies, and settle into GIFT City or onshore INR.
Built‑in compliance and reporting: We abstract GIFT City PSP rules, documentation, and transaction reporting so finance and compliance teams get ready‑to‑use exports and views.
Faster settlement and better visibility: Unified ledgers and payout flows across corridors and partners, with clear T+ timelines, FX details, and status notifications.
Modular APIs: Use us just as a cross‑border collection layer, or plug into the broader Decentro stack (KYC, domestic payouts, banking APIs) if you want a full‑stack infra partner.
Why we started working on this
At Decentro, we began by solving for domestic Indian banking and payments APIs after running into fragmentation and long integrations at our previous companies.
As our customers scaled, the same questions kept coming up:
“Can you help us collect from global customers and settle into our desired currency?”
“Is there a compliant way to route this via GIFT City without adding three more partners?”
How it works – product flow
Here’s a typical integration:
Configure your entity and use case (SaaS, marketplace, B2B payments, etc.) in our console, including purpose codes and underlying documentation.
Integrate our hosted checkout or APIs to start accepting payments in supported currencies and methods from your customers.
We route funds through our GIFT PSP stack, run compliance checks, and handle FX and settlements into your designated accounts.
Your finance and compliance teams use our dashboard and webhooks for reconciliation, returns, chargebacks, and regulatory reporting.
