The problem

This is one of the largest, fastest-growing markets in the country. 11,000 Americans turn 65 every day, and 70% want to age at home. 53 million people are already unpaid family caregivers, over $1 trillion in economic value every year that the system doesn’t capture.

But getting someone into home care is brutal. The application and paperwork alone take weeks of back-and-forth across a caregiver, a patient and their family, a doctor, and a state caseworker, with paper forms bouncing between all of them. Most of that time isn't care; it's coordination. Most families give up before care ever starts, and caregivers wait unpaid.

When care finally begins, caregivers suffer from missed payments and poor coordination, affecting patients downstream. All of this because existing agencies aren’t built to handle care at scale.

What Cova does

We own the full stack: Cova is its own home care agency serving Medicaid, LTCI, and private-pay patients, and AI agents run it end to end.

• Weeks → days. AI agents handle the applications and paperwork that normally drags on for weeks in just a few days.
• Zero FTE overhead = highest caregiver pay in the state. AI agents do the coordination work, so we carry no non-caregiver headcount and pass that straight to caregivers as the highest base rate in Michigan.
• We get family caregivers paid. Millions are already caring for a loved one for free and qualify for programs they've never heard of. AI agents find those programs and get them enrolled and paid.
• We bill the payers directly. Because we own the agency, we make money the way agencies do, billing Medicaid, MCOs, LTCI, and private pay, just with a fraction of the cost structure.
