❌ The problem

You're a lean team busy doing more than you can handle already, and finances feel like a perpetual weight on your shoulders. You know there are bills to pay, invoices to collect on, questions you want answered. But a real finance team costs $10,000 to $20,000 a month, and you could always "do it yourself," so the problem goes on dangling, half solved, half annoyance, always taking up RAM.

What ends up happening is bills get paid late, you spend money on some $300/month marketing software your interns bought months ago without you knowing, and real problems with your vendors, payroll, and runway sneak up on you at 2am on Sunday.

We've lived this personally. As a 3 year old, super lean fintech team running all our own finances, we know what it's like trying to keep the finances afloat while doing everything else it takes to make it big. It's not like the work is rocket science. It's just constant, manual, nagging, and spread across 18 different tools that need sense making.

Until recently, you had to pay $10,000 a month to hire a finance function. We'd like to change that.

Chat with Blaze from your favorite agentic harness and watch it get real things done for your finances:

• Pay bills and contractors. Tell it to pay the AWS bill and it finds the invoice, shows you the amount, and pays on your approval. "Send Maria $3,000 for the design work" works the same way, domestic or international.
• Collect payments and send invoices. "Send Acme a payment link for $12,500." Blaze creates the link, sends it, and updates you when it's paid. Draft a real invoice the same way, from a one-line request. If a client drags their feet, it follows up automatically.
• Forecast cash. Connects to your bank through Plaid, finds the recurring patterns, and projects your balance so you know your runway.
• Handle the pre-accounting. Categorizes transactions and matches them to the bills and invoices they belong to as they happen, so your actual accounting is easier when you get to it.
• Move stablecoins. On and off-ramps USDC across 80+ currencies, with support for cards and various local payment methods around the world.
• Flag problems early. Tells you about a low balance, an overdue invoice, or unusual spend before it becomes an issue.

👥 Team

Faiyam is a full-stack engineer who dropped out of med school to build startups instead. As a founding engineer at Luc's previous startup, he helped it scale to $1m in ARR. He manages finances for Blaze, and is personally relieved he no longer needs to stay up on Sunday nights to do so.

Luc is a two-time founder. His first startup hit #1 on the App Store. Before that, he was a tech lead at Spotify and Artsy. Luc built Blaze's cross-border payment rails after living the problem firsthand, moving money in and out of Latin America.

Fun fact: Luc and Faiyam met after Faiyam "coincidentally" sat down next to him at a coffee shop in Williamsburg, New York, seven years ago. The rest is history (in the making).
