{"id":105121,"title":"Frigade Skills: the in-app AI agent that learns your product and acts for your users","tagline":"Frigade learns your product by using it, then takes real actions for your users through Skills your team approves with no code.","body":"Hi everyone, Eric and Christian here, co-founders of [Frigade](https://frigade.com) (W23).\n\nFrigade is an AI agent that lives inside your product and [guides users through it](https://frigade.com/blog/product-help-where-users-stuck). Point it at your app and it learns your UI in minutes. You don't wire anything up or write docs.\n\n**Today we're launching a major new upgrade to our agent called [Skills](https://frigade.com/features/skills).**\n\nSo far, Frigade has guided users and [answered their questions](https://frigade.com/blog/how-to-deflect-support-tickets). With Skills, it can take real actions for them too: looking things up, creating, editing, deleting.\n\nSkills are the actions Frigade figures out on its own while it trains on your product. It documents each one, your team approves it with no code from the dashboard, and from then on Frigade runs it for any user who needs it. You can still wire in your own custom tool calls with our SDK, too.\n\n\u003chttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi-BFV7M7eY\u003e\n\nIf you've used Linear's AI agent, Frigade is that as an embed: the same kind of in-app agent, dropped into your product with [one snippet](https://frigade.com/blog/walkme-alternatives-without-six-month-rollout). You get about 80% of it out of the box, with no eng work required.\n\n**How it works:**\n\n1. Add the snippet. Frigade starts using your product and learns it, like a new user would.\n2. It turns the actions it finds into Skills. Your team reviews and approves them, no code.\n3. Frigade runs those Skills for your users and answers their questions as they go.\n\n**Here it is running on popular products we don't embed in.**\n\nWe just pointed it at each one and let it learn to see how it performed:\n\n* [Jira](https://demo.frigade.com/?skill=jira)\n* [Spotify](https://demo.frigade.com/?skill=spotify)\n* [Hacker News](https://demo.frigade.com/?skill=hackernews)\n\n**Frigade is best for:**\n\n* Teams drowning in \"how do I...\" tickets\n* CS teams who want [onboarding](https://productonboarding.com/articles/what-is-product-onboarding) to happen without a call\n* Product teams who want every feature to be [self-serve](https://productonboarding.com/examples)\n* Anyone with a complex product or non-technical users who keep getting stuck\n\nMany teams are also building their own agents in-house. If that's you, we're launching the Frigade API soon so you can add our generative assistance capabilities into your agent. More on that soon.\n\nIf your product's complex or your users aren't super technical, we'd love to show you what Frigade does on your actual app. Send us a note, or book a demo at [frigade.com](http://frigade.com).\n\nEric \u0026amp; Christian\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post\u0026id=105121\u0026key=user_uploads/123251/18d6ac08-4814-47bc-b966-4268a0da843a)\n\n","slug":"RLV-frigade-skills-the-in-app-ai-agent-that-learns-your-product-and-acts-for-your-users","created_at":"2026-07-09T17:34:23.119Z","updated_at":"2026-07-22T14:38:49.254Z","total_vote_count":9,"url":"https://www.ycombinator.com/launches/RLV-frigade-skills-the-in-app-ai-agent-that-learns-your-product-and-acts-for-your-users","share_image_url":"https://www.ycombinator.com/media/?type=post\u0026id=105121\u0026key=user_uploads/123251/18d6ac08-4814-47bc-b966-4268a0da843a","company":{"id":27852,"name":"Frigade","slug":"frigade","url":"https://frigade.com","logo":"https://bookface-images.s3.amazonaws.com/small_logos/2ebf166f7f6e8f6d186e2ea4a16a6cf16becaf7b.png","batch":"Winter 2023","industry":"B2B","tags":["SaaS","Customer Success","Customer Service","AI","AI Assistant"],"search_path":"https://bookface.ycombinator.com/company/27852"}}
