Production issues kill velocity, erode user trust, and become more and more costly as companies scale.\n\nFortune 100s spend **$100M+/year** on first-line-of-defense production support.\n\nSmaller companies can’t afford to burn **scarce engineering resources** on time-consuming support and maintenance.\n\n**The (sensitive) data problem**\n\nIf you’re a backend engineer at a fintech, you probably own a service that queries data, applies some business logic, and stores the result somewhere (i.e., a data pipeline).\n\nWhen this service is running in production, you’ll see two failure modes:\n\n1. Exceptions in logs and/or failing jobs\n2.
