• Brand & Design System (extracted from your codebase, or built from scratch)
• Product Context (what you're building, user personas, key workflows)

This foundation is captured as .md files in your project. You own the files, version them, and can edit them.

2. Spec-driven design - Your coding agent consults Design Rails when facing design decisions. Design Rails orchestrates specialist AI agents including a UX Designer, UI Designer, Accessibility Specialist, and UX Copywriter. Each agent has deep context of your brand, unique design domain expertise, and access to a library of proven patterns from top products.. They work in parallel to produce comprehensive design specs. Your agent gets a detailed blueprint to implement.

3. Automatic design reviews - Design Rails spins up a browser to see the rendered results, validating implementation against the spec to catch visual glitches and design inconsistencies before you even see them.
