Building fully autonomous robotic factories that make scaling hardware as effortless as scaling on AWS
We're building fully autonomous robotics factories at Tensr to create the AWS of manufacturing. Our factories will receive on-demand orders from customers and spin up robots to operate industrial machinery, package, and ship the finished product all in 24 hours.
Problem
Moving fast in manufacturing today doesn't exist. Iterating designs for manufacturing takes months of back and forth getting samples from China and pre-ordering manufacturing capacity several months before the holiday rush, only then to wait several weeks for shipping praying there isn't a strike at the docks. At the same time we see the complete collapse of America industrial capacity as American workers and experience leave the field and contracts are sent overseas.
Solution
With the robotics revolution, for the first time it is possible to fully reimagine the factory floor - moving from rigid lines to modular stations, even in high mix settings. However, we believe that automating manufacturing is more than just deploying a foundation model or a humanoid into an existing factory.
Factories need to be designed from the ground up around robots, not the other way around.
Over the past few weeks we turned our living room into an autonomous factory floor, with stations for CNC, moving stock, and a focus on assembly. After demo day, we'll expand to a full manufacturing facility, and start supporting batch orders of all sizes from other companies throughout the country. Currently we also are in talks to provide our own assembly models to other distributors.
Team
We're a battle-hardened team of UC Berkeley graduate robotics researchers (from Berkeley AI Research (BAIR)) who met in a lab, previously worked on and managed multiple DARPA contracts and led an autonomous IndyCar team where we raced full scale autonomous Indycars at 160mph (250kmh) as the Machine Learning, Simulation/Team Manager, and Robotics Control leads respectively.

- Adith Sundram - MS/BS ME, UC Berkeley, CoFounder + CTO
- C.K. Wolfe - Current PhD AI/Robotics, UC Berkeley, CoFounder
In addition, our team brings direct operational experience from Rockwell Automation (industrial automation), aerospace manufacturing, and FDA-regulated medical-device production
Our Ask
We're offering early manufacturing / prototyping pilots for hardware companies of all sizes as the new year starts and we open our first facility. If you or anyone you know fits in this bucket, reach out to founders@tensr.com!
