About the role
We’re looking for a Founding Engineer to join The Hog and help build the AI-native Go-To-Market Operating System.
B2B teams today are stuck stitching together tools for competitive intel, market research, and campaign execution. Our AI agents continuously monitor industries, competitors, and trends, then surface prioritized opportunities with ready-to-run multi-channel campaign strategies so lean teams can compete with much larger companies.
We already have 100+ paying customers and growing fast.
As a founding engineer, you will work directly with the CTO on:
High-volume Postgres
Our product can generate millions of records in just a few days of usage. You will design schemas, indexes, and query patterns that stay fast as we scale.
LLM-first product experiences
You will build end-to-end flows around tool-calling LLMs, background jobs, and external data so users get concrete GTM recommendations instead of raw model output.
Productionizing AI
You will help build evaluations, observability, and tight feedback loops that make our agents reliable enough to influence real revenue decisions.
You will join a small senior team with deep GTM and AI experience. This includes scaling a company from 900K to 7M ARR in under 3 months and shipping agents that customers said were better than Glean. If you want to own core product and infrastructure, ship quickly, and work on AI that directly drives business results, we would love to talk.
About the interview
We keep our process simple and focused on real work, not puzzles.
- Behavioral interview (30 min)
Short video call focused on how you work, what you have shipped, and how you think about ownership, speed, and startups. You can ask anything about the role, stack, and roadmap. - Take home technical challenge (under 2 hours, no LeetCode)
A small practical task similar to what you would build on the job, usually full stack and LLM focused. Use your normal tools and AI copilots. We care about clear thinking, tradeoffs, and code structure more than clever tricks. - Paid one week work trial (laptop provided)
One week of paid contract work inside our real codebase with real users. We will pair when useful, but you will also own and ship changes end to end. This lets both of us see what it is actually like to work together day to day.
