Role at a glance

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll help our customers run better user research and bring the voice of the user into every product decision.

  • What: You’ll shape the roadmap and product strategy across Rally’s core User Research CRM and adjacent product surfaces, turning continuous customer insight into clear, focused priorities.
  • Impact: You’ll be Rally’s first dedicated PM, setting the vision and focus for engineering and design so they can build faster and smarter, and creating leverage across the entire product organization.
  • Team: You’ll collaborate directly with our co-founders and Head of Design, and partner closely with Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Work style: Remote-first within the United States, with regular async collaboration and periodic in-person offsites.

About Rally UXR

Rally is the User Research CRM that helps product, design, and research teams talk to their users quickly, safely, and at scale. We streamline recruiting, outreach, screening, scheduling, consent, and incentives so teams can spend less time wrestling with spreadsheets and manual workflows and more time learning from customers. We’re trusted by companies like Google, Figma, Perplexity, Adobe, and others who use Rally to make user research a continuous input into product decisions.

User Research is a nascent but fast-growing function inside SaaS companies and has historically relied on disjointed tools and manual processes. Rally exists to fix that: we’re building the infrastructure layer that makes high-quality research easier to run, easier to scale, and impossible to ignore.

About the team

Rally’s product and engineering team is a small, highly collaborative group obsessed with craft, clarity, and user empathy.

  • We work closely with UX Researchers, Research Ops leaders, designers, and product managers at some of the world’s most user-centric companies.
  • We use Rally to build Rally—talking to our own users frequently, running studies on our platform, and feeding insights straight into the roadmap.
  • We favor small, empowered teams, high ownership, and a tight feedback loop between customers, product, and engineering.

The opportunity

Until now, Rally’s product direction has been driven by our founders, designers, and engineers. It’s worked, but it’s time to add a partner who brings structure to that intuition. As our first PM, you’ll help define what product management means at Rally and how it scales.

You’ll own high-leverage problems across our core CRM + recruitment platform and new product surfaces, set the vision and focus for the team, and ensure we’re investing in the most impactful bets for our customers and business.

What you’ll do

  • Set product vision and strategy across Rally’s core CRM + recruitment platform and new product surfaces, aligning the team on the most important problems to solve.
  • Run continuous discovery: talk to users weekly, synthesize insights, and translate them into clear priorities and product decisions.
  • Bring clarity to execution: collaborate with engineers and designers to define MVPs, manage trade-offs, and unblock progress throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Drive data-informed decisions: partner with engineering to instrument analytics, define success metrics, and share insights that guide roadmap and prioritization.
  • Represent enterprise users: build trusted relationships with large customers, translate their needs into scalable solutions, and balance short-term commitments with the long-term product vision.
  • Champion focus and quality: prioritize fewer, more impactful bets; say “no” thoughtfully; and keep the team focused on the highest-leverage problems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: work with Product Marketing, Sales, and CS to gather market and customer insights and ensure cohesive launches and customer experiences.
  • Shape product culture: help define Rally’s PM rituals, documentation standards, and hiring DNA as we grow the product organization.

What you’ll bring

  • 5–7+ years as a Product Manager shipping B2B SaaS products, including enterprise use cases.
  • Strong product sense and data fluency—you’re comfortable moving between qualitative insight, quantitative analysis, and crisp product decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; you bring clarity in documents, specs, and meetings with both ICs and executives.
  • Comfortable working with tools, i.e., Figma/Linear, to collaborate with design and engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to set direction for cross-functional teams, manage trade-offs, and deliver outcomes in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment.
  • Alignment with Rally’s philosophy on AI and how it can create leverage for product and research teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience as a first or early PM, especially defining product management practices from scratch at a startup.
  • Background working closely with UX Research, Research Ops, or Design teams.
  • Familiarity with enterprise SaaS, especially products used by product, design, or research organizations.

If you’re excited about Rally and this role but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still encourage you to apply—we’re interested in what you can do, not just what you’ve done.

How we work

Rally is a remote-first company with teammates across the US and Canada. We default to async communication, rely on clear written documentation, and save meetings for collaboration, decision-making, and relationship-building.

  • Remote-first: Work from anywhere in the US, with core collaboration hours that overlap across US time zones.
  • In-person connection: We bring people together for periodic team or company offsites to build relationships, do deep-dive strategy work, and celebrate wins.
  • High ownership: You’ll have real responsibility from day one and a lot of trust to figure out the best way to get to outcomes.
  • Customer-driven: We talk to users constantly and use those insights to drive decisions across Product, Design, Engineering, and Go-To-Market.

About Rally UXR

Rally makes it easy for Product, Design, and UX Research teams to talk to their users.

We believe continuous user research is the key to uncovering real problems and honing in on the right solutions. We want to help companies get closer to their users so they can bring better products to market.

User Research is a nascent function at SaaS companies and growing 40% YoY. It’s an underserved segment of the market that relies on disjointed, manual tooling (i.e. spreadsheets) that drive massive inefficiencies in their workflow.

We’re starting by solving the most burning pain point in user research today: recruiting your own users for research. We’re doing this by building the world’s best User Research CRM - a platform that automates outreach, screening, scheduling, incentives, and participant tracking, all in one place.
