About the Role
We’re seeking an LLM engineer with hands-on experience in architecting strong prompting for agents. This role isn’t as much of a customer-by-customer prompt tuning, but rather building scalable AI infrastructure for our computer agents through context, prompting, and adjacent backend engineering. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Design custom prompt frameworks for our various core infrastructure agents.
- Build smart context engineering. This will be a mix between backend work and smart system design.
- Realistically, anything that touches an LLM is in your realm of design. How can we tackle safety, reliability, and latency at scale..
- Technical Leadership: Drive technical decisions and architecture design, shaping the foundation of our solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with co-founders and other team members to translate business vision into actionable project plans.
- Ownership: Take full product ownership from ideation to launch, including integration into existing systems.
Who You Are / Must-Haves:
- Startup Experience: Strong preference for candidates with prior startup experience. Former founders are especially valued for their entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Prior Experience:
- 2-10 years of hands-on general engineering + context engineering experience.
- Green Flag: Leading agent development at prev. high-impact startups/companies
- Educational Background: Ideally, candidates should have attended a college ranked in the top 50 in the United States.
- Backend Skills: Strong background in JS/Typescript and Python (we also build voice agents!)
- Frontend Skills: Proficiency in Next.js.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS and Postgres.
- Scalability: Familiarity with Docker is a big plus.
- Regulatory: Basic or professional experience with HIPAA is useful.
