About the role

Misprint is a Y Combinator-backed NYC startup building a marketplace for Pokémon cards — think StockX for TCG, but built for collectors.

We’re building the platform we wished existed for the hobby: a better place to buy and sell Pokémon cards, with real-time bids and asks, better pricing transparency, and a more modern experience than the legacy marketplaces collectors are used to.

We’re looking for a creative, organized Pokémon Content & Social Media Intern to help grow Misprint’s brand across Instagram, TikTok, X, and other channels.

This is a hands-on role focused on content creation, social media execution, and creator coordination. You’ll help film and edit content, keep our social profiles active and on-brand, support relationships with creators for UGC, collabs, and sponsorships, and help turn day-to-day activity at Misprint into content people actually want to watch.

Some parts of the role — such as editing, scheduling posts, creator coordination, outreach, and other computer-based work — can be done remotely. Filming content and certain hands-on tasks will be done in person from our NYC office.

This is a great fit for someone who loves social media, understands internet culture, and is genuinely excited by Pokémon, TCG, collectibles, and hobby communities.

What you’ll do

  • Help plan, film, edit, and post short-form content for Misprint across Instagram, TikTok, X, and other social platforms
  • Help maintain and grow Misprint’s social presence with consistent, on-brand posting
  • Film content in the office, including product shots, packaging, behind-the-scenes clips, and hobby-focused content
  • Edit short-form videos for social using tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar
  • Write captions, organize drafts, and help schedule posts across platforms
  • Support relationships with content creators for UGC, collaborations, and sponsorships
  • Help coordinate creator outreach, deliverables, posting timelines, and follow-up
  • Identify trends, formats, and content ideas that fit the Misprint brand and the TCG audience
  • Monitor social accounts and support light community management
  • Occasionally help with light operational tasks around the office tied to content or day-to-day team needs

What success looks like

In your first 30 days, you’ll:

  • Learn Misprint’s voice, audience, and product
  • Start helping with filming and editing content
  • Own parts of the weekly posting and scheduling workflow
  • Pitch content ideas that fit the hobby and our brand

In your first 60 days, you’ll:

  • Be regularly shipping content across multiple platforms
  • Help coordinate creator partnerships and UGC workflows
  • Take more ownership over parts of the content calendar
  • Contribute new recurring series or content formats

You might be a good fit if

  • You spend a lot of time on TikTok, Instagram, X, or YouTube and understand what makes content engaging
  • You’ve created or posted content before, whether professionally, for a student org, or on your own accounts
  • You’re organized, reliable, and good at following through
  • You have strong writing instincts and a good feel for tone/voice online
  • You’re comfortable learning quickly in a fast-moving startup
  • You have a real interest in Pokémon, trading cards, collectibles, or hobby communities
  • Experience with creator outreach, content editing, or social media management is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Pokémon / TCG space is a strong plus

To apply

Please include:

  • links to relevant socials, portfolio, or content samples
  • a brief note on your interest in Pokémon, TCG, or collectibles

About the interview

Our process is simple: first, we’ll review your resume and any social/content samples you share. Next, we’ll do a short introductory call to learn more about your background, interests, and availability. Strong candidates may then complete a brief paid sample assignment related to social content, writing, or creator coordination. Finalists will have a final conversation with our team before we make a decision. We aim to move quickly and keep the process straightforward.
