About the role

The role

We’re looking for a motion graphics designer and videographer to own how LightSprint comes to life on screen. You’ll create polished tutorial videos, product demos, and feature-launch videos that help product teams understand what LightSprint does and confidently use it.

This is an end-to-end creative role. You’ll turn product workflows into clear stories, then handle the scripting, storyboarding, product capture, motion design, editing, sound, and final delivery. You’ll work closely with the founders, product, product marketing, and developer relations to make every video accurate, useful, and distinctly LightSprint.

What you’ll do

  • Create product tutorials. Produce clear, professional videos that teach customers how to use LightSprint and complete real workflows.
  • Build compelling product demos. Turn new and existing capabilities into concise demos that show the product working, not just describe it.
  • Own feature-launch videos. Develop the concept, narrative, visuals, motion, edit, and final assets for major product announcements.
  • Lead production end to end. Write scripts, storyboard scenes, capture the product, design motion graphics, edit footage, mix sound, and prepare versions for the website, social channels, and sales materials.
  • Make technical ideas easy to follow. Work with product and engineering to understand each workflow, then translate it into a visual story for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build a repeatable video system. Establish templates, capture standards, animation patterns, and production workflows that let us ship consistently as the product grows.

Requirements

  • You have a strong portfolio or reel showing professional product videos, tutorials, demos, launch films, or motion-graphics work. Please send examples of your previous work when you apply.
  • You can own the full production process, from an incomplete brief through scripting, storyboarding, capture, motion design, editing, sound, and delivery.
  • You have excellent visual judgment and know how to make software interfaces feel clear, polished, and engaging without overwhelming the product.
  • You can quickly understand technical product workflows and turn them into stories that make sense to product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • You’re highly proficient with professional motion and editing tools such as After Effects and Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or an equivalent production stack.
  • You’re comfortable working directly with founders and product teams, moving quickly, and incorporating detailed feedback without losing ownership of the creative direction.

Nice-to-have

  • You’ve created video and motion work for a high-growth startup, especially an AI, developer-tools, SaaS, or technical B2B company.
  • You’ve helped launch new products or features through video and can show how your work supported adoption, engagement, or a successful release.
  • Experience with product capture, UI animation, sound design, short-form social edits, or lightweight 3D.
  • Familiarity with coding agents, software-development workflows, or tools used by product and engineering teams.

About LightSprint

Lightsprint is the collaborative product-development platform for the AI era. Anyone on a product team, not just engineers, can now turn intent into shipped features inside an existing codebase.

AI made software engineering dramatically faster, and so the software development lifecycle, used in teams, is due an update. We believe human collaboration is here to stay: for taste, for ownership, for the simple fact that great products aren't made alone.
