About the Role

We're looking for a Founding Engineer to build and scale the LedgerUp platform. As an early team member, you'll have a pivotal role in architecting the systems that automate B2B billing, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition for fast-growing companies.

You'll work closely with the founding team to design, develop, and deploy our AI agent (Ari) and the critical financial automation infrastructure that integrates with Stripe, Salesforce, HubSpot, and other enterprise systems. This role requires expertise in backend development, systems integration, and building AI-powered automation—ideal for an engineer who thrives in high-impact environments where accuracy and reliability are non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

Build and optimize AI agent capabilities that can reason about financial operations and take autonomous actions
Architect and develop scalable backend services for AI-driven billing and accounts receivable automation
Design and implement APIs that integrate with financial platforms (Stripe, Salesforce, QuickBooks), CRMs, and document signing systems
Build Change Data Capture (CDC) systems to maintain real-time synchronization across multiple data sources
Develop sophisticated revenue recognition logic that handles ASC 606 compliance, usage-based billing, and complex contract terms
Create event-driven architectures for automated invoice generation, delivery, and collections workflows
Own the full development lifecycle—from designing scalable solutions to deploying and monitoring them in production
Ensure data accuracy and system reliability for mission-critical financial operations
