About the role

We need one person to own Hub's ground operation in São Paulo. Contributors and businesses across your territory record real data for us every day. Your job is to keep that engine running: phones deployed, recordings flowing, blockers cleared before they cost us a single hour.

What is Hub? We are a real world data company. AI and robots learn how humans actually live from data that does not exist online: how people move, use their hands, and get things done. Real people capture it on a phone mounted on a headstrap. We turn it into the training data that top AI labs and robotics companies rely on. Backed by Y Combinator.

The Brazil operation is where a lot of that data gets made. Contributors and local businesses record every day across São Paulo. It is growing fast, and it needs someone on the ground keeping it healthy. That someone is you.

🎯 Why This Role Exists

A phone that stops recording is data we lose. A business with bad internet is a deadline at risk. A contributor stuck on a problem is money left on the table.

Keeping the São Paulo operation healthy is a full time job that nobody owns yet. That is the role. You are Hub's person on the ground, the human link between our operation and the people producing the data. You work directly with Pedro, who runs Brazil operations.

This role is built to grow. You start by doing the dirty work yourself and learning the operation by hand. You turn what works into a process that can be copy pasted, a system another operator could pick up and run. Then you help build the team to run it across Brazil at scale.

💪 What You Own

You own the full lifecycle of every business in your territory, end to end. Auto shops, manual labor businesses, workplaces of every kind.

Receive or close a newly signed business → prepare and account for every kit → deploy onsite → train the workers → verify the first accepted recordings → improve → reach stable weekly production → then repeat at the next business.

That loop is the job, and it moves fast. These are the numbers on you:

  • Time from signed site to deployment. How fast you get a new business live.
  • Time from deployment to first verified hour. How fast a site starts producing real data.
  • Percentage of deployed kits recording this week. Every kit in your territory, actually running.
  • Weekly verified hours per site. Stable, repeatable production, not one good week.
  • Reactivating stalled sites. When a business goes quiet, getting it back online is on you.

📅 Your First 30 Days

This role moves fast. You own real sites within your first week, not your second month.

Week 1. Into the field immediately. Set up your own kit, shadow a live deployment, and take the keys to your first businesses. You learn by doing, at pace.

Weeks 2 to 3. You are running your own sites now. Deploying kits, training workers, chasing the first verified hours, clearing every blocker between a signed business and stable production.

Week 4. Every site you own is producing verified hours on a weekly rhythm. You know your numbers cold, stalled sites are back online, and you are already onboarding the next businesses.

🙌 Who You Are

We hire on drive, not resume. One thing matters most: you are hungry, young, and motivated enough to own an operation with little hand holding.

  • Based in São Paulo, ready to spend most days in the field. Not remote.
  • Driver's license and access to a car. Hub covers fuel, mileage, and hotels for fieldwork.
  • Brazilian, native in Portuguese. You build trust with local owners face to face.
  • Conversational English. You coordinate with our US team, so you communicate clearly. Perfect fluency not required.
  • Proactive. You move before being told. You solve, not just report. This can be your first real job if the drive is there.
  • Process-driven. You look at a messy operation and build a process that makes it run better. You do not just fix today's problem, you make sure it stops happening.
  • A people person. You walk into a business you have never seen, read the room, and win people over.
  • Comfortable with a CRM. You know your way around a CRM and use it to track every business, visit, and follow up. It is how the whole operation stays organized.

You like working outside. Past experience in small businesses or hands on jobs means you will feel at home.

Not for you if you want a predictable desk job, a fixed nine to five, or a script handed to you each morning.
Perfect for you if your ideal week is being in the field, meeting people, solving five problems before lunch, and watching a number you own climb because of you.

📌 The Details

  • Reports to Pedro, who runs Hub's Brazil operation
  • Based in São Paulo, with regular travel across the greater region
  • Compensation is a mix of fixed and variable, with strong upside tied to performance. Discussed on the call
  • Hub covers fuel, mileage, and hotels for fieldwork
  • At least one prior work experience. Drive matters more than a long resume
  • Real room to grow. Prove yourself and you can grow into leading Hub's Brazil field ops team, managing field operators across cities and states

✍️ How to Apply

Short form, about fifteen minutes. We read every answer. Be specific, tell real stories, be honest. "Here is exactly what I did and what happened" beats "I am a hard worker" every time.

About the interview

About Hub

Hub is a multimodal data lab for physical AI. We capture how humans actually move through the world: first-person video of everyday tasks, hands, homes, and environments, and turn it into the original training data that physical AI and robotics companies need and cannot get from the web.

Robots can't learn the physical world from the internet, because the internet never captured it. How a hand opens a jar, how a body moves through a kitchen, how a task actually unfolds: none of it exists as training data until a real person records it first-person. Hub is the pipeline that brings it in: not annotation, not scraping, not synthetic data. Original data, created end to end.

Headquartered in San Francisco and backed by Y Combinator (P26) with $2M raised, Hub's distributed contributor network spans hundreds of thousands of people across 150+ countries and 100+ languages. Contributors record original egocentric (first-person) video through our own platform, HubApp, verified through human-in-the-loop QA before delivery. We work directly with frontier AI labs, Fortune 500 companies, and top robotics companies, scaling multiple 7 to 8 figure contracts, to scope, collect, and deliver custom real-world datasets from scratch.

Why join us?

We're a small, fast-moving, deeply technical team of builders, data scientists, and ML engineers advancing embodied AGI through real-world data and research, solving the data ceiling that's become a critical bottleneck for physical AI. If you want to build the infrastructure that brings humanity's lived experience to the frontier of AI, we want to hear from you.
