That lets us price risk better and move faster than anyone in the market. We've raised over $108M, and we're launching a new line of business to take the company to its next level.

The $40B+ trucking insurance market is still being underwritten by people with paper files and 1990s rating engines. We're going to fix that.
The French SME market is still being served by brokers with paper files and a renewal cycle nobody chose. We're going to fix that.

About the role

We're standing up a French book and taking it from zero. We need an Account Executive who can close founders and finance leads across France. Professional indemnity, cyber, general liability, property. Companies running 5 to 200 employees are the sweet spot.

You'll work hand-in-hand with a BDR team that keeps your calendar full. Your job is to run discovery, partner with underwriting on the quote, navigate the broker dynamics where they exist, get to bind, and stay close through onboarding, the first claim, and the first renewal.

We work hard, we work long, and we hold each other to a high standard. Hit your numbers consistently and there's a clear path to sales leadership. You are one of the first two Account Executives in this market, and there is nobody above you in it yet.

This role is on-site in Dublin, six days a week: five selling days plus a Saturday morning training block.

Team

You'll work directly with Victor & Briac, Country Launchers.

Victor Berrios. Victor founded Flolend, a renewable-energy financing platform, where he built the product from zero and obtained its PSFP authorisation from the AMF and the Banque de France. Before that he modelled metros, airports and solar plants as a senior project finance consultant at Egis, and audited Société Générale's offshore operations in Bangalore and Bucharest from the bank's Inspection Générale. He holds degrees from ESCP and ESTP.

Briac Sockalingum. At Wavestone's financial services practice Briac advised two of the largest global and French insurers on regulatory and technology transformation, and the firm selected him as its first analyst in France hired without a master's. He has founded three companies, including YIELD, an AI and blockchain cash-management platform for French SMEs which was part of Founders Inc, Circle & Sciences Po programs & accelerators. He is a UC Berkeley and Sciences Po dual-degree graduate.

Your first 30 days

• Close a deal
• Get certified on our product, forms, rates, and appetite so you can hold a real conversation with a French founder or CFO
• Master the fundamentals: the devoir de conseil, the written demands-and-needs record under C. ass. L.521-4, the pre-contractual pack under L.112-2, the four lines we write, and how the French renewal calendar actually moves
• Build the working rhythm with your BDRs. Sit with them, listen to their dials, sharpen their qualification
• Sit with underwriting, claims, and ops to understand the full quote-to-bind workflow and what we can move on versus what we can't
• Start running discovery calls and getting quotes into market

Your first 60 days

• Hit your first full month of quota
• Build a pipeline that's 3x your monthly quota with clean stages, accurate forecast, and named next steps
• Develop your discovery and quote presentation motion. Find your patterns.
• Surface the win/loss themes back to product, underwriting, and the BDR team so we sharpen the appetite and the targeting
• Build a renewal and expansion playbook for the accounts you've already bound

What you’ll do:

• Pipeline management. Take qualified meetings from BDRs and work them end to end. Discovery, quote, negotiation, bind. Run a tight CRM, a clean forecast, and an honest pipeline.
• Discovery and underwriting partnership. Pull the headcount, revenue, sector, claims history, and prior carriers. Partner with underwriters to build a quote that wins and that we can stand behind.
• Closing. Negotiate coverage, terms, and effective date, and price within your authority. Get the policy bound, in French, in writing, in the order French law requires.
• Account ownership. Stay close through onboarding, the first claim, and the first renewal. Find the expansion: additional lines, additional entities, growing headcount.
• Cross-functional feedback. Tell product, underwriting, and BDRs what's winning, what's losing, and what we need to change to win more. In a market this new you are the primary sensor.

What we’re looking for

• 2 to 5 years selling B2B, ideally in commercial insurance, financial services, or an adjacent regulated product
• You've personally closed B2B deals at volume and can walk us through how
• Prior commercial insurance sales, at a carrier, MGA, courtier/broker, or insurtech
• Comfortable with technical conversations: coverage wordings, exclusions, limits, rating factors, claims history, endorsements
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• High agency, high ownership, low drama
• Native or near-native French, professional English. French law requires the offer, the presentation, and the contract to be in French.
• An existing right to work in the EU. We cannot sponsor a visa for this round.

Bonus

• Existing relationships with French founders, CFOs, or operations leads
• Experience selling at an insurance carrier, MGA, or a broker
• An existing qualification: APA, CIP, CII, or a French equivalent. This is worth a real step in the band.
• Familiarity with the French SME market: renewal cycles, broker dynamics, and who the incumbents actually are
