Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable systems, designing efficient APIs, and solving meaningful problems at scale. You will work closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to build the core systems that power teleconsultations, e-commerce, logistics, and user experiences across the Clinikally platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs for high-performance applications.
• Work on systems powering teleconsultations, e-commerce operations, and logistics workflows.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable code using modern backend technologies.
• Integrate backend services with databases, caching systems, and third-party APIs.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and security across backend systems.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to ship reliable features.
• Debug production issues and continuously improve system reliability.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, databases, caching, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience building scalable backend services and distributed systems.
• Ability to take end-to-end ownership of backend features.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Architecture: Microservices, API-first design

• Auth & Security: JWT, RBAC, HMAC webhooks
